Open Privy, go to Settings, and turn on App Lock. Choose a passcode, then enable Face ID or Touch ID if your device supports it. Privy will lock when you leave it and unlock with a glance or your code.
No, and that is by design. Privy never stores your passwords, and there is no backdoor. If a note or vault password is lost, the content it protects cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Please keep your passwords somewhere safe.
A vault is a separate space for your notes, like work, personal, health, or travel. You can give any vault its own password. Locked vaults reveal nothing until you unlock them, and nothing moves between vaults unless you move it.
Privy stores your notes on your device. If you turn on sync in Settings, your notes sync through your own private iCloud, under your Apple ID, so they appear on your other devices signed into the same Apple ID. Nothing passes through our servers, and we never see your notes.
A locked note shows no preview, no title, and no text until you unlock it. Anyone looking at your device sees only that something is there, never what it says.
Yes. A note can hold rich text, photos, voice memos, and scanned documents, along with checklists and reminders.
Yes. Choose Light, Dark, or the soft Pink theme, pick your font and text size, and pin the notes you use most. You will find these in Settings.
No. Privy has no account and no login. You can start writing right away, and nothing leaves your device unless you choose to sync through your own iCloud.
